At Cradlerock, we utilize a wide range of individual and team based performance inventories to structure our programs. Whether used in a training workshop, coaching session, or consulting relationship, our tools are an effective way to bring hard core data into your developmental path.

Our team includes experts with certifications in a variety of tools. Some of these instruments include:

For half day or single day programs involving groups with multi-faceted goals, we often recommend Peter Honey’s straightforward, yet compelling, four quadrant model of interpersonal style. This instrument helps participants understand not only their own preferred way(s) of receiving and processing information (activist, reflector, theorist, pragmatist), but also the diverse ways others prefer to interact. Strengths and challenges of each style are emphasized, as are implications for communication and cooperative problem-solving.

The MBTI is the most widely used personality inventory in the world. The instrument is designed to highlight an individual’s preferences along a personality profile that contains four distinct scales. The matrix formed by these scales results in sixteen different combinations and an incredibly rich language for discussing different ways of approaching the world. Our certified staff will help your team understand how their personal results may be affecting team communication and behaviors and help you gain critical insight into how to use the differences as truly diverse strengths.

Meredith Belbin’s work suggests that individuals within a team environment tend to gravitate towards one or more of ten specific roles. These roles have a dramatic impact on team performance, and understanding them is a key to effective communication and process within any group environment. The module requires each participant to take a short assessment before the program designed to illustrate personal preferences within the roles framework. These personal scores are then compared and contrasted within the entire group to discover the opportunities for using this knowledge to increase the team’s effectiveness.

Developed by Elias Porter, Relationship Awareness Theory is a powerful way of looking at interpersonal relationships in the workplace. The theory assumes that we take two different approaches to situations: one approach when things are going well and another when faced with opposition and conflict. The SDI is a self-scoring instrument that helps participants gain a greater understanding of their own values and more importantly what happens to those values when under duress. While some tools measure behavior, the SDI is designed to look beyond behavior at the underling motivation behind specific actions. This perspective provides a powerful lens for examining relationships and the opportunities available for understanding and taking advantage of the natural dynamics of team conflict.
